Rules and Terms

Worldview Compatibility

All submitted films must align with a Biblical Christian worldview. Content should be family-friendly and appropriate for younger audiences, adhering to positive, uplifting themes.

Film Duration

The total running time of the film, including opening titles and credits, must not exceed 10 minutes.

Eligibility

The competition is open to young filmmakers between the ages of 12-24.

Youth-Led Productions

Cast and crew must predominantly fall within the 12-24 age range. While supporting roles may be played by actors outside this bracket if necessary, those individuals are not eligible for any awards. The film must reflect a student-led production.

Production Timeline

Films must have begun principal production after November 29, 2024. Pre-production and writing phases may occur earlier, but all filming should start after this date.

Limited Adult Assistance

Adults are encouraged to mentor and support without taking over. They can offer advice, drive to locations, secure equipment, or provide food, but the creative process must remain in the hands of the youth. The goal is to foster skill development and independence among student filmmakers.

Required Submission Documents

Proof of Director's Age

A valid form of identification such as a driver's license or student ID.

Accurate Credits

Complete and accurate credits listing all individuals involved in the production.

Director's Photo

A photo of the director for inclusion in the festival program.

Film Synopsis

A brief description of the film’s plot for inclusion in the program.

Production Timeline

Signed release forms for all actors. For actors under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the release.

Talent Release Form

Optional Deliverables

Poster: A vertical poster (11"x17") to promote the film.

Behind-the-Scenes Media: Any still images or video footage from the making of the film.
